When you arrive at the Haras Club House, you're immediately greeted and looked after by attentive, caring staff.

We start with an initial discussion about your knowledge of horse riding: have you ever been on a horse, how long ago was it, what was it like? The important thing is to find out where you stand in relation to horses.

We're not here to impose anything on you, but rather to make you feel safe and happy with this magnificent animal.

Once you've been kitted out (head spray, ankle chaps), you're directed to the horses, who have also been kitted out.

You'll be helped upstairs, and then, in the quarry (or sand arena), a guide-educator will teach you the best practices.

First at a walk, then at a trot, and finally, if it's possible for you, at a gallop, you'll always be accompanied, protected and encouraged.

If you still have time, you can then take a leisurely stroll down to the beach.
